I remember when this scene got so much hate while I always found it was a unique and interesting way to get the best of a villain.
Primis Ghost
I like to think that Dr. Strange was the first hero in the MCU to drop a save file before entering the final boss fight.
space man
Everyone loves what Ironman did, but people don't realize this is the biggest sacrifice in the entire MCU. He spent thousands of years getting killed and tortured over and over, and he was willing to do it indefinitely.

Never underestimate the power of being really annoying
Colleen Ross
I don't read comics, so I wasn't expecting the Dark Dimension to be so....beautiful
This scene was way more colorful than anything past 2017 in the MCU
Jack Praefortis
I like to believe that dying billions of times over thousands of years while using magic to try and defend himself gave him more time to practice and refine his magic powers than any other sorcerer could dream of.

Steve: I could do this all day.

I like to believe that if Dormamu did not accept the bargain, Strange would have constantly trained from these until he could best him. As we have seen from What If, he’s capable of building up power when he needs it.

Wait, if Dormammu remembers killing Strange, then clearly Strange remembers dying everytime as well.
This is why I love Dr.Strange cause when it comes down to it he’s a hero that saved the day by annoying an otherworldly entity into submission and that gains my respect
Two years later in another timeline, Strange tries the same method in order to save Christine, but winds up driving himself insane and kickstarting the destruction of his own universe.

I like to imagine Dormamu would come back the minute after Dr. Strange released him, but I think it's good to know that Dormamu is a man of his words.
Cordell Taylor
Nothing destroys a final boss like a good quick save.
I wish this scene illustrated exactly how much time had passed in the time loop, in my mind I see it this way.
This is genuinely one of the most genius ways an mcu hero has ever won
Delto -
This is probably the best ending to an MCU movie because it doesn’t end with such a huge fight scene or one big bang, Dr. Strange is literally just here outsmarting the villain. You don’t see that often in these movies.
Teoman -
Legend has it that he is still trying to negotiate
Dabaruk Nemuhar
I just love Dormammu's design here, the fabric of reality just distorts and vibrates in his presence
Trace Macmillan
This scene alone is better than the full length of multiverse of madness
